Don has been an Easterseals board member since 2007. He has served as chair for several committees at Easterseals and has served as the Board Chair during the period 2011-2013. Don has spent his entire career in the public accounting industry after graduating from Lewis University: 28 years with McGladrey, a national CPA firm, and 12 years with Theobald Associates, Inc., a Chicagoland consulting and accounting firm.
While at McGladrey, Don was audit partner in charge of the public sector group and served on the McGladrey management team for several years. He served various national nonprofit organizations, including National Easterseals, Inc. While at Theobald Associates, Don has continued to serve the public sector which includes local units of government and various nonprofit organizations. Their mission is “Being part of the solution to the challenges organizations in the public sector face.”
Theobald joined Board of Directors in 2007, and chaired various committees, finance and accounting and audit, and became Chairman of the Board in 2011. Our Mission is to provide exceptional services to ensure that all people with disabilities or special needs and their families have equal opportunities to live, learn, work and play in their communities.
